Project Summary

Three Gables is a residence that organizes its different programmatic function under each sheltered roof while perched up on a bluff overlooking the Chagrin River Valley in Moreland Hills, OH. The center gabled form represents the heart of the home with kitchen and entertaining space, the second separated by a gallery corridor, houses the private sleeping quarters and the third contains the utilitarian functions of the home (garage, mudroom & laundry).

The home is intended to be simple in nature, clean and organized and draws inspiration from regional farm buildings, using simple forms and natural materials to create a modern, resilient home that feels both new and familiar. It's front canopy reaches out welcoming its guests, and once you're in you won't want to leave.
